Our deepest condolences go out to the family of our dear friend Shirley Errickson, who passed away on October 23, 2014.

Quakertown Alive! was honored to have Shirley as a volunteer. She was an important part of our Christmas House Tours and Pumpkin Ball. We were so blessed for her friendship and willing spirit. She will truly be missed.

We are very grateful that Shirley's family has asked in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Shirley's name to Quakertown Alive!.

Thank you, Quakertown! This year's Autumn Alive! fall festival was bigger and better than ever! Over 7,000 people were on Broad Street on Saturday enjoying the sights and sounds of the day including vendors of all sorts, entertainment, and food. The scarecrow contest, pet parade, and cupcake contests have grown by leaps and bounds.

We'd like to thank our sponsors: First Savings, QNB Bank, St. Luke's Hospital - Quakertown, Sonlight Productions, Link Beverages, Ciocca dealerships, Dr. Guy Coby DMD, Univest, Quakertown Veterinary Clinic, Gorski Engineering, Yates Electrical, and Kingdom Recovery. There wouldn't be a fall festival without them. Please patronize these businesses and thank them for sponsoring this event.

You can see more pictures of the 15th annual Autumn Alive! fall festival here.

Fox29 is Coming to Quakertown!

On September 3, Quakertown rolled out the red carpet again for Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia. The regional morning show asked the Borough of Quakertown to participate in its welcoming week for new co-host Alex Holley. Last summer, Quakertown played host to Fox 29's Jennaphr Frederick for several "Jenny on Your Block" segments and Quakertown's enthusiasm impressed them so much that they wanted to come back.

Visit Bucks County, Quakertown Alive!, the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce, and the Borough of Quakertown worked together to coordinate the event. Dozens of businesses and organizations and hundreds of people turned out for an early morning block party on Broad Street. There were firetrucks and food, costumed mascots and adoptable pups from the SPCA, a stiltwalker, a yoga class and more all out to show just some of the best of Quakertown and to welcome Alex Holley to the area.
