A new fun concept for an art show, "My Image to Art". Send one of your own photos to be used as the subject of a painting.
Clymers Mill painting that Jim Lukens donated to Quakertown Alive!
But, it's not quite that easy. You submit your favorite photo of any image you think would make a beautiful painting. It can be a fall landscape, a pet, a spring scene, a stone farmhouse, etc. Of all the pictures submitted, ten to fifteen will be chosen to be made into a painting. Jim Lukens, a well known Bucks County artist, will be turning the images into works of art. After all the paintings are completed, there will be a show exhibiting the art. Only then will you find out if your image was chosen to be made into a painting. Everyone attending the opening show will get to vote for their favorite. The winning image/painting will be given to the person who submitted the image. All other paintings will be for sale.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Quakertown Alive!, supporting the arts in the Upper Bucks County area.
